From the President, April 2023

Dear Members,

Since my last article I had the pleasure of traveling to Atlanta, GA for the Southeast Regional Meeting and Fort Worth, TX for the Southwest Regional Meeting. These meetings always remind me of the great talent that is spread throughout our organization.

I must give a special shout out to the Southwest Regional RVP Rock Phillips, who was putting on his first meeting. Rock pulled out all the stops, holding two days of very pertinent and informative education classes, along with plenty of fellowship, including the famous Embassy Suites cocktail hours.

I also traveled to Orlando, FL where the NAIIA had a booth at the PLRB Claims Conference for the first time in years. In addition to our fantastic executive director Sheri Csom, we had member volunteers at the booth, including John Henderson, Frank Marx, Mark Kershaw (no relation to the best pitcher of a generation) and Mitch Whitman. The event is always very worthwhile for relationship building and the NAIIA will continue to exhibit in future years and look for other events that would be beneficial.

As I round third and head for home in my presidential term there are a couple new items that I am happy to share:

1. We have a new marketing pitch deck! It can be found on the website here.

Please view and download the pitch deck. It will come in handy when you want to email or hand a prospective member more information about the NAIIA.

2. We have instituted an extra incentive for members to seek out and refer new members.

Any member who refers a new member will receive a 50% discount on the registration fee for the next Annual Conference they attend. If a member refers two new members, the next conference is free.

Just talk up the NAIIA and then refer the potential new member to the application form, found on our website on the Join the NAIIA page. Have them list your name as the referring party.

Many smarter people than me have considered how we best increase our membership with quality companies. The consensus is that the best marketers in the organization are the members themselves, who know and appreciate the value of the NAIIA. I hope the referral incentive program will be an extra incentive to refer potential members.

I look forward to seeing many of you in Cape Coral. If you haven’t yet registered, it’s not too late. Come soak up some sun, education and mingle with your peers. We will also hold our annual business meeting and elect our new secretary-treasurer.

Before I go, I do want to announce that the paper Blue Book will be discontinued after this current printing. It will be moved online, and the cost savings will be allocated to marketing efforts, including a mailing to all current recipients pointing them to the updated and improved website.

Please reach out if you have any questions, thoughts, or just want to say hello.

Sincerely,
Peter Schifrin
2022-2023 NAIIA President
