June 2026 Letter from the President

NAIIA President’s Letter – June 2026 Edition

Hello NAIIA Family,

As I prepare to conclude my term as President of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters, I find myself reflecting on the tremendous privilege it has been to serve this association and the professionals who make it so exceptional.

Over the past year, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication, integrity, and resilience that define independent insurance adjusters. Our members continue to serve policyholders, insurers, and communities with professionalism during some of life’s most challenging moments. Whether responding to catastrophic events, navigating evolving industry conditions, or embracing new technologies, independent adjusters remain a cornerstone of the property and casualty insurance industry.

I am deeply grateful to our executive committee board members, various committee members, Executive Director, Sheri Csom, and every member who has invested time, expertise, and energy into advancing our mission. The success of our association is not the result of any one individual, but rather the collective efforts of dedicated professionals committed to strengthening our industry and supporting one another.

During my tenure, I have been continually impressed by the collaborative spirit within NAIIA. Together, we have worked to promote professionalism, encourage education, advocate for our members, and ensure that independent adjusting remains a respected and vital profession. While challenges will undoubtedly continue to emerge, I am confident that this association is well-positioned for the future.

The insurance industry is evolving rapidly. Advances in technology, changing customer expectations, increasing catastrophe activity, and workforce development issues will continue to shape our profession. Yet the core values that have guided NAIIA for nearly nine decades remain unchanged: integrity, expertise, service, and commitment to excellence.

As I pass the gavel to our incoming President, Michael Marsh along with executive committee members, Paul Graf and John Dotson. I do so with great confidence. The future of NAIIA is bright because of the caliber of professionals who comprise this organization. I encourage each of you to remain engaged, mentor the next generation of adjusters, and continue supporting the association that supports our profession.

Thank you for the trust you placed in me and for the opportunity to serve as your President. It has been one of the greatest honors of my professional career. I look forward to remaining an active member of this outstanding association and witnessing the continued success of NAIIA for years to come.

With sincere gratitude,

Nino A. Berardi
