Promoting the Brand is Paying Off!

I’m happy to report our “Promoting the Brand” efforts are paying off!

We recently welcomed four new members, and we have two potential members in the vetting process. We revised our membership application to include professional references instead of client references. This small change created a great response! Thank you for your part in recruiting members to our organization.

NAIIA is regularly asked to contribute to trade magazines. We’re proud of a membership that values experience and knowledge in our industry. We want to continue to promote not only NAIIA but also YOU, our members, as experts in the industry. If you have a topic you think could be covered, let us know! If you handle liability, what part of the process could use more explanation, from a novice adjuster view? Send your ideas to our President-Elect Cathy Hester, who currently serves as our marketing chair. Submitting an article is a great way to promote the brand and your organization!

Education is a top priority. I’m excited to share that we had four members: Peter Schifrin, Paul Graf, Rock Phillips, and myself, co-instruct classes at the Claims College in September. The Claims College was presented by the Claims and Litigation Management in Baltimore, MD. We awarded three scholarships for the event to worthy candidates, and we already expect to fill more positions at this event next year!

Our Appraiser/Umpire Certification Program has been a key revenue stream for our organization. There have been over 100 participants at the meetings held in the Western, Mid-States, Southwest, and Eastern Regions. In November, we head to Lloyd’s of London to tell them more about our certification, and I can’t wait to share that feedback with you all.

Finally, in a departure from the norm, President-Elect Cathy Hester and I have agreed to combine our objectives for the Association to cover two years of “Promoting the Brand.” Marketing is essential for our Association and all of our businesses. Cathy is a great leader for this objective!

If there is a regional activity you would like one of us to attend, please give us a heads up.  Cathy and I, along with fellow board member, Peter Schifrin and Executive Director, Sheri Csom, will do our best to attend!
