From the President, Cathy Hester: February 2022

Good day to all of you. I trust all of you had a great holiday,  have made your new year’s resolutions and are well on the way to having a great 2022!

With February brings Mardi Gras, especially in Mobile, AL, the birthplace of Mardi Gras. We love Mardi Gras in Mobile (I love Mardi Gras in Mobile) and partake of all the festivities whenever possible. Let’s not forget February 14th – Happy Valentine’s Day to you all! February also means it is about 3 months until our conference in Tucson, AZ at the Marriott Starr Pass Resort, a gorgeous property in a beautiful part of the US. NAIIA Conference brochures are out, so please make your hotel reservations and book your flights early, and join us for what promises to be a great conference, our 85th NAIIA anniversary.  The education and conference committees have been working hard to provide you with lots of great presenters, educational opportunities and lots of fun. Put on your cowboy boots and hats and come prepared to enjoy our Theme Night festivities as we remember the Wild, Wild West!!

I attended the LEA last week. For those of you that attended the LEA in Ft. Lauderdale last week, it was definitely an escape from the cold weather. If you have not been to Loss Executives Association (LEA) before, think about attending. There are loads of interesting educational topics to attend and CEs are offered.  I loved seeing NAIIA members and visiting with industry colleagues. This conference was well attended – it makes me hopeful for events in 2022! I hope to see you all at events throughout the year. Our newsletter is chock full of information, highlighting some of our members, their businesses and their talents at writing and serving this great association.  I am so proud of this association and its members – thank you for all you do!!! The NAIIA Executive Board is working hard to grow our association and attract future members who exemplify all this great association stands for, 85 years strong this year.  Please share information with us and give us your suggestions; we do want to hear from you, our members!  Have a great month and let’s meet in Tucson in May so we can Reconnect. Promote and Grow.
