The National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters (NAIIA), in partnership with the Society of Registered Professional Adjusters (RPA), is pleased to announce a national certification program for training property appraisers and umpires throughout the United States. This program is open only to NAIIA and RPA members and successful completion of the training will result in the participants receiving the Certified Insurance Appraiser (CIA) and Certified Insurance Umpire (CIU) designations.
Training in the appraisal process and promulgation of the NAIIA approved forms will be conducted by Kevin Hromas – JD, RPA, PLCS, CPIU – Houston, TX.
Training in the current laws governing the appraisal process in each state will be conducted by noted attorneys from various regions of the country who are recognized experts in the appraisal process and how the legal climate has addressed the various issues surrounding the legal aspects of the process. This portion will encompass four (4) hours of the training.
We are adding this training seminar to the beginning of the NAIIA Regional Annual Meetings as well as providing individual seminars for members in neutral locations. The cost of the certification is $200.00. Following completion of the course and upon successfully passing the test at the end of the class, your name will be added to a designated tab on the NAIIA website that allows for a searchable function to find state-specific qualified individuals as appraisers or umpires.
